Global Poverty Action Day Panel

Event Date:

Wednesday, April 19, 2017 - 4:30pm

The Global Poverty Action Day (GPAD) Panel will bring together UCSB’s Sociology and Global Studies Department Profession Richard Applebaum, History Department Professor Nelson Lichtenstein, Ian Bentley, local Parker Clay co-founder and CEO, and Aditi Mayer, UC Irvine student and sustainable fashion blogger. Together these panelists will discuss global inequality, the impact of our global product consumption, and how different actors, including young people, can get involved to address it. This is one of a series of events being held throughout the UC system to kick-off the first GPAD, a day for students throughout the UC system to advocate for an end to global inequality.
