Blum Center Podcast

The UCSB Blum Center on Poverty, Inequality, and Democracy believes in engaging youth in issues of inequality and democracy through a variety of avenues. We organize a variety of events (i.e. discussions, workshops, panels) to bring students together with leading experts and practitioners to discuss the latest research and action focused on poverty, inequality and democracy.

In Fall 2019, the Blum Center will begin to use a new platform to engage youth in these issues - a Blum Center Podcast. Student hosts will interview leading thinkers and practitioners about pressing questions shaping the lives of youth today, strategies for mobilizing their engagement, and avenes for action.

What is the latest research telling us about connections between inequality and democracy? Who is trying to create and implement solutions to address these challenges? What is the role of youth today in these efforts, and how can we learn from past youth-led movements for lessons going forward? Check out the upcoming Blum podcast to learn more!
