One year after the murder of George Floyd, we have seen powerful protests, organizing, and grassroots movement building in support of racial justice, alongside calls to address systemic racism and inequity in policing and related institutions. While legislative changes and commitments have been made at various levels across the country over this past year, this is just the beginning of the change needed. Today, we remember George Floyd and recognize his family, community and people around the world who have come together to honor his life by advancing racial justice.
