The UCSB Blum Center for Global Poverty Alleviation and Sustainable Development is pleased to support the Big Ideas Contest on our campus. Big Ideas offers funding and mentorship to graduate and undergraduate students who have creative solutions to address pressing social challenges. Applicants can receive up to $10,000 for their project, company, or student group that has social impact.

Join us for an information session at 6 pm on Thursday, October 11th in Girvetz 2320 to learn about the Big Ideas Contest's goals, categories, timeline, and application requirements. Pizza and inspiration will be provided.

Meet other student innovators working to develop creative solutions for global challenges, and stay to speak with a Big Ideas Advisor about whether or not your idea is a good fit for the Contest! 3 page pre-proposals due November 14!
