Please join the Blum Center on Poverty, Inequality and Democracy, The Fund for Santa Barbara, and the Office of the Dean of Social Sciences on Wednesday April 27^th from 3:30-5pm for an on-campus discussion on the role of research in advancing equity and justice within Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo Counties, as part of the Central Coast Regional Equity Initiative (CCREI). The event will take place in the Wallis Annenberg Conference Room, located on the fourth floor of the Social Sciences and Media Studies Building (SSMS 4315).  Light refreshments will be served. 

This will be an opportunity to learn more about the aims and ongoing activities of the CCREI, featuring highlights from the Central Coast Regional Equity Study that helped to launch the initiative, funding opportunities for UCSB faculty and graduate students to contribute to regional equity research, and discussion of how and why community engaged research is vital to advancing equity and justice throughout our region.
